Peter A. Hanson, age 59, of Omro, died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Theda Clark Medical Center from injuries received in a horse related accident.
He was born January 31, 1946 to Byron and Mary Hanson and grew up in Pine River. He attended Wild Rose Schools and upon graduation was drafted into the Armed Forces. He served in the Army for two years and was stationed in Germany. Pete married Mary Parsons in 1969 in Poy Sippi, WI. He was employed at Oshkosh Truck where he worked for over 30 years. In the course of his occupation, he traveled the world. In his free time, Pete had a deep passion for horses and farming.
Pete is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Thomas (Karyl) of Ripon and Joseph of Omro; one grandson, Noah Thomas; step-mother, Marjorie of Pine River; two sisters, Mary Anne Baitinger of Wild Rose and Ruth (Myron) Gross of Ripon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In respect to PeteÂ's memory, Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4-8 P.M. and then again on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David Sielaff officiating. Burial will follow in the North Rushford Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
