Peter Mecher, age 78, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Northpointe Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on May 23, 1933, in Chicago. A WWII Army Air Corps veteran, Peter was employed by the Veterans Administration for many years as a clerk. After retirement, he moved to Oshkosh to be near his elderly mother.
