Obituary

Phillip A. Broege, 83, of Omro, WI passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, peacefully at home, in his favorite recliner.

Phil was born on August 5, 1934 in Rush Lake, WI, a son of the late William H. and Mildred (Schroeder) Broege.

As a young adult, he was employed as a Police Officer for the City of Milwaukee, WI. He then went into sales as a representative for the National Farmers Organization in the Medford area. After moving to Omro, he went onto selling cars for Mueller Chrysler and Dahl Ford and finally, he loved answering the phone with "Guard Shack" for security with Menards.

Phil enjoyed his T.V. and loved to watch westerns as well as Judge Judy and the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his sons: Robert Broege of Clarksville, TN, Scott (Elvie) Broege of Milwaukee, WI, Phillip (Donna) Broege Jr. of Milwaukee, WI, Thomas (Cathy) Broege of Oshkosh, WI, and Brett Broege of Menasha, WI; daughters: Michele (Ameen) Al-Ghetta of Williston, ND and Wendy (Brian) Fisher of Pickett, WI; step-sons: Raymond (Renee) Smith of Berlin, WI and Timothy Smith of Brookfield, WI. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, Ed VanAacken, several nieces and nephews, 18 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, and one more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Broege; step-daughter, Melissa McHale; brothers: William (Butch) Broege and Dennis Broege; and sisters: Ilene Kassel, Julie Micke and Linda VanAacken.

Per Phil's wishes, a private burial will take place in Waukau Cemetery and a celebration of his life will take place.

Our family wishes to thank Dr. Ammar Alzoubi and his staff, especially Jen, the entire staff at DaVita Dialysis Center, as well as Officer Joe Benoit, Steven and Alison Broege, and friends and neighbors for caring for our father over the years.

Sleep Tight, Dad. We hope you find a comfy recliner in heaven.
