Phyllis R. Buchanan, age 93, of Oshkosh, died Saturday morning, January 17, 2015, at Bethel Home. Born on April 29, 1921, the daughter of Emil John and Myrtle Ida Louise (Ziebell) Zentner, Phyllis married Theodore Harold Buchanan on December 27, 1940, in Oshkosh. Theodore preceded Phyllis in death on June 2, 1977.
Employed by Rockwell International in the clerical office until her retirement, Phyllis was a member of First English Lutheran Church, the Neighborhood Center at First English, was an active member of Bethel Home Auxiliary, enjoyed bowling in various leagues and tournaments, and enjoyed time spent at Delta Restaurant and George's Gaslight Inn.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Zickert of Brillion and Edith (Allan) Schweer of Gainesville, Florida; four grandchildren, Jon (Karen), Jeffrey (Kelly), Angela (Ryan), and Nathan (Dana); 9 great-grandchildren, Kalista, Ethan, Quinn, Flora, Rowan, Tanner, Jaxson, Madison, and Trevor. Preceding Phyllis in death was her husband, a son-in-law, Robert Zickert, a brother, Frederick Zentner, a sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Alvin Reid.
