Phyllis Gayle Maynard, age 62, of Omro, was called Home by her Heavenly Father on Tuesday morning, April 25, 2006. She was born in Minnesota on January 25, 1944 to Warren and Verona Saferite. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee in 1962. She married Richard Warren Maynard on June 15, 1963.

Phyllis worked for the Winmare Corp. for 15 years in Milwaukee, and then worked for the Wisconsin Credit Union League. She also belonged to the Clown Association Alley 37 in Milwaukee.

She is survived and will be missed by her loving husband of almost 43 years, Richard Warren Maynard; her four children, Richard (Wendy) Maynard of Milwaukee, Darren Maynard of Omro, Deborah (Ron) Zabel of Omro, Shawn (Tracy) Maynard of Milwaukee; 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; two sisters, Charlotte Anderson, Sylvia Bach; four brothers, Don Saferite, Jeff (Nancy) Saferite, Dallas (Doris) Saferite, Doug Saferite; her best friends from high school, Kathie & Art Weber; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Visitation for Phyllis will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, April 28, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Omro Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Doctors Gremminger and Oyedijo and their staffs, the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Affinity Hospice for the excellent care given to Phyllis and her entire family.
