Phyllis B. Schroeder, age 89, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, October 5, 2010, at Bethel Home. Born on March 5, 1921 in Oshkosh to Claud and Augusta (Last) Thompson, Phyllis married Clarence H. Schroeder on June 27, 1942 in Oshkosh. Clarence preceded Phyllis in death on April 30, 1998.
A long-time member of Algoma United Methodist Church, Phyllis was active with the Women's Society. She enjoyed rosmalling and decorative painting. Phyllis was a dental office administrator for 20 years with Dr. William Schaefer.
Left to mourn her passing are two daughters, Patricia (James) Discher of Darlington, Wisconsin, and Diana (Paul) Golke of Waupaca; a grandson, Christopher (Daisy) Golke of Cary, Illinois; two great-grandsons, Kevin and Carter Golke; a brother, Claud Thompson of Oshkosh; two sisters, Prudence Bowers of Marion and Olga Morris of Waukesha, and nieces and nephews. Preceding Phyllis in death is her husband, parents, an infant daughter, Susan Schroeder, and a grandson, Kevin Golke.
