Phyllis M. Tetzlaff, age 91, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday evening, September 20, 2011, at Park View Health Center. Born on May 29, 1920, in Oshkosh, to Joseph and Gertrude (Flory) West, Phyllis married John P. Tetzlaff on November 12, 1949, in Oshkosh. John preceded Phyllis in death on August 25, 1983.
Employed by Winnebago County as a Stenographer, Phyllis worked in the Register of Deeds Office at the courthouse. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild Committee. Phyllis' favorite activity was square dancing. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and angel figurines.
Survivors include a sister, Charlotte (John) Murphy of Oshkosh; a special friend and dance partner, Robert Laurent; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Phyllis in death is her husband, parents, four sisters, Florence Trenerry, Grace Beyer, Marie Roehrig, and Delores Gertsmeyer; and a brother, Joseph L. West.
