Ray A. Jones Sr., age 83, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. He was born on April 25, 1937 the only son of the late Milton and Adeline (Ader) Jones in the Town of Algoma. Ray married Carol Kresal (Erdman) on February 28, 1987. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2010.

Ray served his country as a Marine from 1956 to 1958. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League in Oshkosh. He was also a member of the NRA and Veteran's Honor Guard.

Ray was an avid reader of western novels. He and his wife enjoyed bowling in their younger years, and vegetable and flower gardening in their later years. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors. Ray also enjoyed going out to eat at various restaurants with Carol.

Ray is survived by his sons: Ray Jones Jr., Troy Jones and Perry Jones; grandchildren: Vanessa Jones and Montana Jones, and Adam Jones; stepsons: Jerry Erdman and Jon Erdman; and step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; and his parents.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until a time of sharing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zoar Cemetery, Township of Rosendale.
