Raymond F. Altmeier, age 85 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2004 at the Harbor Haven Nursing Home in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He was born on February 21, 1919 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Altmeier. Ray served his country during WWII in the US Army. He had worked for and retired from the former Bell Telephone Company, now Ameritech.
He is survived by two nieces, Carol Samida of Oshkosh, Kathryn San Giovanni of Virginia; two nephews, Mike Pufall of Georgia and Peter Purall of Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn and a brother, Erwin.
Funeral services for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street with Sister Judy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Milwaukee. Family and friends may call at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
