Regina Agatha Knoblock, age 85, of Oshkosh, died Thursday, May 19, 2005. She was born December 1, 1919 in Oshkosh, daughter of Stanley and Gertrude (Gronowski) Marhefke. She married Richard Knoblock on March 21, 1940 in Oshkosh. She was a lifetime member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church. She had worked at Miles Kimball seasonally, and at Wood's Greenhouse. Her husband preceded her in death on July 4, 1998.
She had one daughter, Barbara (Bobby) Floyd of Oshkosh, and one son, Richard, who preceded her in death on August 18, 2004. She has a daughter-in-law Judith Knoblock of Oshkosh. Also surviving Regina are two granddaughters: Cynthia (Bill) Plucker of Appleton and Jean (Brian) Komorowski of Oshkosh; four grandsons: Ronald (Theresa) Floyd of Kaukauna, Richard (Carolyn) Floyd of Oshkosh, Kevin Floyd of Oshkosh, and Scott (Marnie) Knoblock of Oshkosh; Eleven Great-grandchildren: Steven and Danielle Floyd, Justin Harrer, William and Samuel Plucker, Hunter Floyd, Collin Floyd, Madeline and Molly Knoblock, and Olivia and Brooklyn Komorowski. She is further survived by three sisters: Gertrude Jensen, Mary Ann Huebner, and Elenore Francis; two brothers: Ralph (Pearl) Marhefke, Stanley (Mary) Marhefke; sister-in-law: Lorraine Knoblock; brother-in-law: Daryl Wendt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as brothers: Cliff, Raymond, and Bernard Marhefke; sisters: Helen Bahr and Joan Wendt; also sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Mom, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister: She enjoyed and loved life. Making many beautiful wedding books, baptism outfits, and afghans for family and friends; we will all treasure these items.
After much thought Regina made Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation her home. She loved and enjoyed the many activities. She participated in Fourth of July and Christmas Parades, played bingo, and was President of the Resident Council. She met and made many friends, especially her room mate for four years Della Grusnick.
A funeral Mass for Regina will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 23, 2005, at St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 1333 Walnut Street, Father Robert Stegmann officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation and support TODAY, Sunday, May 22, 2005, at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street, from 4 until 7:30 P.M. and again at Church on Monday from 9:30 until the time of the service.
We will miss you as you have touched us all. May thanks for the family history you helped put together. Special Thanks to all the Staff of Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation for making Mom a part of your lives. Especially the care, concern, and wonderful stories you shared about her in her final days. Also Thank You to Father Bob Stegmann from St. Josaphat Catholic Church for his kind words and prayers. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
