Obituary

Regina J. "Jean" Northam, age 87, of Oshkosh, died at her residence on Friday, February 17, 2007. She was born to the late Theodore J. and Julia M. (Dombeck) Hallman on September 7, 1919 in Berlin, Wisconsin. Regina met Clarence Northam and they were married on July 1, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. Clarence preceded her in death on June 6, 1983.

Regina loved cats, especially her companion, Spooky. One of her favorite past times was playing poker. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed reading mysteries and true crime stories. Regina was an exceptional cook. She also loved to spend time with her family. Regina was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She offered daily prayers for the welfare of her loved ones.

Survivors include her two sons: Bruce Krueger of Oshkosh, and Paul (Jennifer) Northam of Berlin; and a daughter: Barbara (Robert) Leichtfuss of Van Dyne. Regina is also survived by four granddaughters: Denise Jarvela of Racine, Sarah, Hannah, and Abigail Northam, all of Berlin; and one grandson David (Kelly) Hartman of Oshkosh, and six great grandchildren: Amber Hartman, Chace Holst, Timothy and Ryan Leichtfuss, and Mackenzie and Riley Hartman. She is further survived by a brother, Anthony (Aida) Hallman of Chula Vista, California. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive Regina. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, a daughter Julia Hartman, a granddaughter Jessica Leichtfuss, her parents, one sister, Josephine Nichols, and three brothers: Stanley, Albert, and Felix Hallman.

Services for Regina will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church on 1025 W. 5th Ave. Reverend Thomas Reynebeau will be officiating. Friends and neighbors may gather for a time of visitation and support on Monday, February 19, 2007 at Seefeld Funeral Chapel, 300 N. Eagle Street, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and again from 10:00 A.M. at the church until the time of service. A rosary service will be held Monday night at the Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M. Burial will take place at the Omro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Regina's name.
