Obituary

Rex O. Wesner, age 56, of Oshkosh, died suddenly on October 26, 2004. Rex was born on February 29, 1948 in Oshkosh to Vernon and June Grant Wesner. He served in the Army in Vietnam. He married Gloria on December 19, 1980. Rex was a generous and giving man. He was a hard worker and was very gifted, building his own homes, fixing anything that was broken. He was employed by the Leach Company and as a diesel mechanic at Valley Express and also was a NASCAR fan that collected NASCAR memorabilia.

Rex is survived and will be missed by his wife of 24 years, Gloria, his children Christine (Edward) Luedtke of Ripon and Jim Schettle of Fremont; his granddaughters, Kiley and Kaylin Luedtke; his mother, June Wesner of Waukau; brothers, Brad Wesner, Kalvan Wesner, Jim Wesner, Walter Wesner, and Willy (Pamela) Wesner; sisters, Gail (Duane) Ewald and Cindy Wesner (Randy Surma); nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rex is preceded in death by his father, Vernon on July 12, 1983.

Visitation for Rex will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Saturday, October 30, 2004 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark West officiating. Burial will be in Waukau Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
