Richard W. Binder, "Sailor", age 89, passed away Thursday morning, September 3, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born June 10, 1926 to Wenzel and Hattie Davis Binder. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Ruedinger on February 3, 1951. Dick was very involved in Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls, was an avid tennis player and loved when EAA was in town.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; sons, Jeff and Alan; daughter, Mary (Jeff) Paulick; grandchildren, Pat, Robin, DJ, Jaebrielle, Ben, Angela, Sam and Jonathan; great grandchildren, Destiney, Noah, Adam, Katie, Emma and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carroll, infant brother and daughter, Karen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2015 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church- St. Vincent site, 1225 Oregon St., Oshkosh from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. William Van de Kreeke officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Mass offerings in Dick's name would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the nurses in ICU at Mercy Hospital for the compassionate care given to Dick and the rest of his family.
