Richard "Rick" M. Kaelin, Jr., age 63, passed away at Aurora Medical Center on Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was born in Oshkosh on August 11, 1951 the son of the late Richard and Pauline (Golz) Kaelin, Sr. Rick worked for Neenah Foundry for over 25 years, retiring in 2012 due to health reasons. He enjoyed hunting, breakfast with his friends, and was an avid Packers fan. Rick will be remembered for being a people person and easy to get along with.
Rick is survived by his children: Paul (Cindy) Kaelin, Kristi Kaelin, and Nicole (Steven) Olejnik; grandchildren: Cody, Alexandra and Addisyn Kaelin, and Maddison and Kyah Olejnik; siblings: Russ (Gloria), Mike, Lynn, and John (Julie) Kaelin, Kathy (Richard) Rennert, and Pam (Terry) Olejnik; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Richard Martin Kaelin III.
Visitation will start at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Seefeld Funeral Home with the Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Aurora Medical Center I.C.U. for their wonderful care. Further, a heartfelt thank you to Rick's roommate, John, for all the help and care he's given Rick.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Rick's name is being established.
