Richard J. "Dick" Sitzberger died at Aurora Medical Center on Friday, October 8, 2010. He was born in Oshkosh to Anton and Margaret (Neta) Sitzberger on April 19, 1938. Dick graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1956, served his country in the U.S. Navy, and then on August 22, 1964, Dick married Barbara Bloechl.
Dick was baptized at St. Vincent Catholic Church and has remained a member of the St. Jude the Apostle Parish – St. Vincent Church all of his life. He retired from Rockwell International after 32 years.
Mourning the death of Dick are his wife, Barbara; children: Richard (Lori) Sitzberger of Virginia, Lori (Jason) Geffers of Oshkosh, and Linda Sitzberger of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Jayna, Kailey, and Matthew Sitzberger, and Isaac, Nicholas, Victoria, and Tiffany Geffers; and his brother, Howard (Patricia) Sitzberger. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Wallen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 11, 2010, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish – St. Vincent Church, 1225 Oregon Street. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
