Rita L. Roberts, age 77, of Omro, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the Omro Care Center. She was born May 13, 1935, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Clyde and Rilla (Prine) Stevens. Rita grew up in Oshkosh and was educated in the Oshkosh School System. She married Neal Roberts in Winneconne on November 20, 1954. He preceded her in death. Her family and friends will never forget who she was in life and will carry all the precious memories of her forever. She loved her family, her pets and enjoyed reading. She liked traveling with Millie and Millie's daughter, Jane, coffee clutching with her friends, visiting with Ruth and talking to family and friends on the telephone. Rita had worked at the Omro Police Department for many years as an Administrative Assistant.

Rita is loved and will be missed by her children, Thomas (Dawn) Roberts of Wild Rose, Tammy (Bill) Dennis of Berlin, Tracy (Larry) Williams of Omro, Randy (Amy) Montgomery of Oshkosh; grandchildren, T.J., Tanya, Courtney, Katie, Alyssa, Hayli, Ashley, Jamie, Kaylie; great grandchildren, Christian, Gavin, Liam, Abigail and Isabella "Ella". She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Neal, one brother and one sister.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating. Rita will be laid to rest in the Omro Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be directed to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, 1925 Shelter Ct., Oshkosh, WI 54901.
