Rosalind "Odie" A. Manske, age 91, of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Centennial Inn. She was born on February 2, 1913, in Oshkosh, the daughter of William and Mary (nee Gansen) Miller. She married Ralph I. Manske on August 21, 1933. Ralph preceded her in death on March 28, 2002.
Survivors include two children, William (Lois) and James (Yolanda) Manske, both of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Martene "Marnie" Manske of Baltimore, Maryland, Tanya, Joseph and Mark Manske, all of Oshkosh; one great-granddaughter, Aradia Snowdon, also of Oshkosh; two living sisters, Virginia Krause and Patricia Wolff, both of Oshkosh; a step-brother, Robert Ives of Los Angeles, California; and a sister-like friend, Tess Rozek, of Oshkosh.
Her husband, Ralph, operated Manske's Barber Shop on New York Avenue for over 50 years. She was one of the founders of Shore View Lanes in Oshkosh, and, together with her husband, was the sole owner from 1984 until 2003. She also owned and operated numerous rental units in Oshkosh for many years.
Funeral services for Odie will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206 Ontario Street. Rev. Walter Moll will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services. A lunch will be served at the church after the service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Services were entrusted to the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels. The family requests memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
