Robert C. "Buzz" Bloedow Jr., age 45, of the Town of Black Wolf, died on Sunday evening, August 29, 2004 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on September 22, 1958, the son of Robert C. and Barbara A. (Davis) Bloedow, Sr. He married Leanne M. Lueck on September 1, 1984 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Oshkosh.
Bob was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and a life long member of the Van Dyne Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed trap shooting, sturgeon spearing and was an avid hunter. He worked for the Winnebago County Highway Department for the past fourteen years. Bob will be remembered as a good friend who was always willing to help out, and will be sadly missed as a kind and thoughtful man to his family and all who knew him. The most important part of his life was his love for his wife and his children.
He is survived by his wife, Leanne, and their daughters, Amanda Marie and Sarah Leanne, and Bob's son, Michael Alan, all of Oshkosh; his parents, Robert and Barbara of Oshkosh; his sister, Julie (Harold) Gumz and their son, Eric James Gumz, all of Oshkosh and one grandson, Daniel Bloedow. Bob is further survived by other family members, friends and hunting buddies. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1306 Michigan Street. Reverend R. David Gaskill will officiate. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. A private burial will be held in St. John Cemetery in Black Wolf.
