Robert L. Henning, age 66, of Green Lake, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, August 22, 2013, at the Barrett House in Ripon. He was born in Ripon on October 3, 1946, the son of Alfred and Arlene (Broadway) Henning. Bob had served in the U.S. Army and later became an Insurance Agent in 1968. He had worked for American Family Insurance Co. and later owned and operated his own agency known as Henning Insurance Agency in Green Lake for many years. Bob married Pat (Toman) in January of 1986. Bob enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Tuscumbia Country Club and also made custom golf clubs. He also enjoyed hunting and was part of Waupun Deer Chasers. In the summer he enjoyed taking trips to Northern Wisconsin with his wife. Family was important to Bob and he enjoyed the times spent with his grandkids.

Bob is loved and will be missed by his wife, Pat Henning of Green Lake; his mother, Arlene Henning of Waupun; son, Joel (Tasia) Henning of Fond du Lac; daughter, Jeana (Tim) Schmitz of Malone; stepsons, Ron Toman of Green Lake, Todd (Laura) Toman of Hawaii, Dave (Kristen) Toman of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Katie, Matthew and Ben Henning, Ella and Landon Schmitz, Cody, Nick, Dakota, Aaron, Megan, Morgan and Keeley Toman; brothers, Rod (Cindy) Henning, Mark (Dana) Henning; brother-in-laws, Pat (Barb) Chandler, Jim (Sue) Chandler; sister-in-laws, Nancy (Pat) Obrien, Sharon (Dan) Googins; his extended family, Bill Toman and family, Georgina Loesch (Toman) and family, Sue Sutphin (Toman) and family, Leza Dhein (Toman) and family; great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and clients. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Henning in 1992.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St. Ripon, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at church at 11:00 a.m. Bob will be laid to rest at the Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
