Robert H. Krelwitz, age 89, of Omro, passed away at his home on Friday, April 09, 2010. Bob was born in Duluth, Minnesota on March 1, 1921 the son of Burdick and Rachel (Ehling) Krelwitz. He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy; participating in many landings, notably Normandy Beach. He married Geraldine Klossowski on July 1, 1950 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Berlin. Bob was a lifetime member of Oshkosh VFW Post # 1908, and Omro American Legion Post # 234. He was a member of Omro Lodge # 0168 F. & A.M., Oshkosh Lodge # 27 F. & A.M., Tripoli Shrine, Winnebagoland Shrine Club and Commandery # 011 Knights Templar.
Bob was loved and will be missed by his wife of almost 60 years, Geraldine; his sisters and brother, Dorothy (Frank) Gehrig, Pricilla Mervosh and Edward (Irma) Krelwitz; his in laws, Rosemary (Douglas) Langeberg and Jeanette (James) Kasuboski; special nephew and niece, Doug (Audry) Langeberg and Laurelee (Stuart) Beduhn; great nephews and nieces, Ben, Carl, George, Michael, Dalton, Katie, Angelina and Kasey; other nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John, Paul and David.
In respect to Bob's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the Services at 7:00 P.M.
Bob's family would like to thank Dr. Maassen and nurse Susan, Dr. Dar, and the lab staff at Aurora Medical Center for their kind compassion during Bob's illness.
