Robert D. Morris, 86 of Berlin, has accepted a permanent position as Heaven's head gardener, because it was about time they learned how to grow tomatoes! Bob was born on the farm on Hwy 49 in Green Lake County. He attended Berlin High School and enlisted in the Army and served for two years in the Korean War. He was very proud of his service to his country. He enjoyed fishing, doing things with buddies, spoiling his daughter and granddaughter, surprising his wife, Rita; being right and working in his garden and orchard.Robert married Rita Kuglin on May 20, 1961, and they adopted Kristen in 1968. They enjoyed 53 years together until Rita passed in 2014. Bob worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for 37 years before his retirement and lived in Berlin in the house he and Rita built. Both Robert and Rita loved animals dearly. In February of 2017, Robert moved to Brown Wilcox where he did an excellent job of keeping everyone on their toes. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; parents, Dorothy and Clarence Morris; sisters: Myra (Rexford) Davis and Marion (Arnold) Rucks, and two brothers: Nathan Morris and Roy Morris. He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Lowe (significant-other, Todd Jahnke), his granddaughter Hannah Lowe, whom he loved and doted on, and in-laws: Duane and Lowita Kuglin.
