Robert J. "Bob" Oaks, age 48 of Oshkosh, died Saturday evening, January 24, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on June 1, 1955 in Oshkosh to George and Juanita (Rogers) Oaks. Bob married Debbie Gonsalves on August 25, 1990 in Oshkosh.
Bob was employed as a supervisor at Bemis Converter & Specialty Films. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed Civil War items, Packers, camping along with spending time with his two dogs.
Survivors include his wife: Debbie of Oshkosh; two daughters: Carrie (Gabriel) Mutsch of Oshkosh; Melissa Oaks of Oshkosh; one granddaughter: Alexis "Grandpa's Little Monkey"; his parents: George and Juanita Oaks of Oshkosh; five brothers: Richard (Beth) Oaks of Park Falls, Wisconsin; David Oaks of Oshkosh; George (Judy) Oaks of Logerville, Wisconsin; Gerald (Brenda) Oaks of Oshkosh; and Thomas Oaks of Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 North Eagle Street, with Reverend David Pagel officiating. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church. A memorial in Bob's memory is being established by his family.
