Bob was a 1955 graduate of Omro High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in October of 1955 and was stationed in Okinawa for three years. After the service he purchased his farm in Omro where he enjoyed gardening, raising crops, cattle and hogs. For 50 years, he worked with several asphalt companies as a paver and roller operator. He enjoyed wood working, refinishing furniture, being outside, cheering for the Packers and Brewers, eating peanuts, cheese and snickers, Mountain Dew, spending time at the summer home in Wild Rose and listening to country music.

A special thank you to Heartland Hospice, their nurse, Emily and to Dr. Atif Quershi and his caring staff at Fresinius Medical Care for the many years of excellent care.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M. with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Iola; mother and father-in-law, Marion and Leland Lee.

In his final moments, Bob requested a "smooch" from his wife and proudly stated "It has been a good life." Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
