Robert F. Phillips, Sr., of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1933 to Merle and Genevieve (O Donnell) Phillips in Fond du Lac. Robert married Marcia R. Stenklyft on August 25, 1956 in Wausau.

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After service he enrolled in art school and became a commercial artist until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, collecting antiques, and was an avid sports fan.

Robert will be sadly missed by his children: Robert F. Phillips, Jr., Thomas M. Philips, and Susan M. Winchester, all of Oshkosh; his grandchildren: Daniel T. Phillips of Las Vegas, Nevada; Desi K. Phillips, Michael S. Winchester, Heather M. Winchester, William J. Goodacre, Jr. all of Oshkosh; two sisters: Maureen Thome of Oshkosh and Sandra Weininger of Fond du Lac. Preceding Robert in death are his wife and parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Family and friends may call at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. A memorial is being established by the family.
