Robert A. Weingarten, age 91, of Omro, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Evergreen Manor. He was born in Ripon on March 19, 1920, the son of Alvin and Stella (Peterson) Weingarten. Bob was a US Army Veteran serving during WW II. He had worked for many years and retired from the Leech Company in Oshkosh. In his spare time he enjoyed flying his own plane, boating, snowmobiling and motorcycling.

Bob is survived by his two brothers, Leroy of Beaver Dam, Harold (Agnes) of Friendship; nieces and nephews, Don (Jane) Chase, Kay (Doug) Buehlke, Roy Weingarten (Karen), Vicki (Tom) Wolf, Jan (Wayne) Fishbach, David (Bonnie) Weingarten, Beth (Ted) Griffith, Kristin (Mike) Stanovich, Corrine (Jim) Allen, J.J. (Rick) Koss; "adopted daughter", Lynn (Dan) Kromm; life long friends, Betty Bennett, Hilda Bieber; numerous grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In respect to Bob's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 P.M. with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Omro Cemetery.
