Obituary

Rodney Allan Kromm, age 47 of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Oshkosh to Herman Sr. and Lorraine (Love) Kromm on June 13, 1963. Twenty years later, he married Trudy Hartman on September 11, 1983.
A dedicated father and son, loving husband, wonderful brother, and good friend, Rodney was willing to help anyone at any time. He was a hard worker who put everything in to his employment; whether he was a chef at Jeff's on Rugby, Kodiak Jacks, or Mr. Cinders, or working at Oshkosh Truck. He will be remembered as a Packer fan who loved his country. For nine years he served in the Army Reserve. For ten years he was a Dancing Dad at Richards School of Dance. He loved playing cards and was as member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Mourning the death of Rodney are his wife, Trudy Kromm; children: Casey, Christopher, Lynsie, and Patsie (Michael Bowman) Kromm; siblings: Bonnie Kromm, Marcia (special friend, Larry Gintner) Ortiz, Herman Kromm Jr., Harley Kromm, Linda (Thomas) Gintner, and Holly Drew; parents-in-law, Joann and George Hartman; sister and brothers-in-law: Terri (Lou) Nett, Bret Hartman, and Brad Hartman; nieces and nephews: Joel Ortiz, Chad and Brad Hounsell, Jamie and Ashley Drew, April and Katlin Kromm, and Jacob, Jesse, and Riley Hartman; family friend, Theresa Sabel; and many other friends. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Steven Drew; nephew, Justin Ortiz; grandma-in-law, Mayme Ellis; and special friend, Marty Malchow.
A memorial service will be held for Rodney at 7:00 P.M. TONIGHT, Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206 Ontario Street. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the church tonight from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Please visit www.seefeldfuneral.com to share memories and condolences on line.
