Obituary

Roger William Becker, age 79, of Oshkosh, died peacefully October 19, 2016. He was born September 15, 1937, in Oshkosh, the son of William J. and Marie A. (Kainz) Becker. Roger had attended school in Oshkosh and was a 1955 graduate of Oshkosh High School. Following high school he served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963 in Germany and then served 2 years in the Army Reserves. Roger was employed at Morgan
Doors in Oshkosh for 35 years. He lived in Oshkosh his entire life until he built his dream home in Pickett in 1995. Roger had many passions in life. One was his passion for model airplanes and engines; actually anything that flew. He loved riding his bike to EAA and especially loved going to swap meets. His other passions were bicycles and motorcycles. He was a past member of Winnebago RC Fliers. Roger will be remembered as a gentle and generous soul who would go out of his way to help anyone and for his ability to fix anything!
Roger is loved and will be missed by his loving life partner of 28 years, Joyce Boeck of Eldorado; sister, Barbara Lenz; two nieces, Anne (Thomas) Matuszak, Julie Bruette; great niece, Heather (Michael) Hennlich; six great nephews, Thomas (Nicole), Benjamin and Michael Matuszak, Joshua, Jeremy and Jacob Bruette; great great niece, Adelyn Hennlich; and great great nephew, Raphael Hennlich. He is further survived by Joyce's children whom he adopted as his own, Pam (Norman) Huff, Dale (Cheryl) Boeck, and Joyce's four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, James Lenz; aunts, Sister Martina Kainz and Frances Graffen; and step grandson, Calvin Searl.
Roger requested his family to honor his wish of no visitation or funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of memorials, Roger can best be remembered by doing a good deed in his name.
