Roger Culver, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. He was born in Waupaca on May 9, 1934 the son of his late Parents, Erotus Dewitt Culver and Winnie Mae Culver {Parsons}. On April 10, 1959 he married Betty Manthei at Grace Lutheran Church, Omro. She preceded him on March 19, 2005. Roger had a brother, Bruce Erotus Culver and two half-brothers: Minot Culver and Leroy Culver; a sister who passed away at birth; and Gary Culver. He is survived by Karen Culver, Kenny Culver, Greg Culver, Brian Culver, Doug Culver, David Culver, Lori Meitzen, Patty Culver, Christine Counard, Bruce Culver Jr. and Marcie Culver. Roger is also survived by his very good friend Gary Marks. Roger was proud to serve in the U.S army. He was in Germany and the Philippines. He worked many years at Oshkosh Truck as a machinist. He was better known around Omro for his ability to tinker and fix almost anything, especially lawnmowers. He enjoyed picking up people's trash and making them a treasure. Roger was also known to be an avid snowmobiler, and really enjoyed motorcycle rides, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Roger was a man of faith, when he was out and about you would find him at church on Sundays or Jackie's Restaurant in Winneconne eating his favorite foods. Roger was a private person and kept to himself most days, he kept his people close and cherished everyone in his life. Roger was a household name in Omro, if you needed anything with a small engine he was your person. He loved his community and church and supported it often. Roger was a kind, genuine man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends when he could.

A visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 720 Jackson St., Omro, with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating. Burial will be in Omro Cemetery, Omro.
