Roger E. Turban, age 75, died Sunday morning, November 19, 2006, at Mercy Medical Hospital in Oshkosh. He was born on December 5, 1930, the son of Elmer and Ida Turban. Roger married Louise on May 28, 1958. He was a resident of Omro and was owner/operator of Springbrook Tap for 34 years. During his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and grocery shopping. Roger was a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces and was former Vice President of Wings Over Wisconsin, a group dedicated to Natural Resource Preservation.
Roger is loved and will be missed by his wife Louise of over 48 years; sister, Pat (Carl) Loving; brothers-in-law, William (Hazel) Mack and Ken Mack; children, Nancy (Dave) Stormer of Oak Creek, WI, and Doug (Connie Beulen) Lampe of the Town of Algoma, Tim Turban from Arizona; grandchildren, Deanne (Bill) Karweik, Dori (Tim) Easterson, Diedre (Joe) Seibel, Shane (Misty) Lampe; his great grandchildren "Little Rugrats" Justin, Derek, Travis, and Nicholas, Devon, Deona, and Destonee, Ben, Tyler, Andy, and Alec, Andrew, Carissa, and Xavier. He also will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
In Roger's memory, a visitation will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Monday, November 27, 2006, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A brief funeral service will be immediately following. A memorial is being established in his name.
