Roger E. Wangelin, age 79 of Oshkosh, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 after a long battle with congestive heart failure, at Bethel Home. He was born on December 20, 1927 to Alfred and Clara (Kleinschmidt) Wangelin. He grew up and lived his whole life in Oshkosh. He married Eleanor Wegner in 1955. They were married for 50 years until her death in 2006.

Surviving Roger is his daughter Vicki L. Wangelin. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, Donald Wegner; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Martha Wegner and Audrey Mae Wegner; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Roger was a life-long member at Peace Lutheran Church. He has been employed for 24 years at Miles Kimball and for many years at Square D from where he retired.

Funeral services will be held for Roger at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, August 10, 2007, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, Chaplain Cathie Vander Velden will officiate. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation for sharing support and memories, at the funeral chapel on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:00 A.M.

The family wishes to acknowledge, with heartfelt praise and gratitude, the special care given Roger by all of the nurses at Bethel Home.
