Roger R Wegner passed away peacefully Friday Sept. 17 in Omro, WI with family by his side.
He was born Nov 20, 1954, in Oshkosh WI to the late Richard and June (Cleveland) Wegner.
Roger lived life to the fullest. His family has many laughs over the stories that have been told of the shenanigans that Roger, his brother Gib and some of the Waukau gang pulled in their younger years. He proudly served his country and was able to travel the world. After many years of service, he settled in Killeen TX where his friends Pat and Ruben became his second family. They all worked as mechanics, a passion that was dear to all of them. Roger also enjoyed the outdoor life and loved spending time with his family.
Roger is survived by his best friend and companion Chloe the kitty (who thinks she is a dog thanks to Roger) his daughter Tammy, son Richard and five grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters, Lynn (Dan) Kromm of Omro, Dawn Kortbein (John Garcia) and Mary Gray of Oshkosh, Deb Wegner of Omro, Ann (Darin) Fleck of Pine River; brothers-in-law, Buzz Brehmer and Tom Terrace of Oshkosh, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gib Wegner; sisters, Sue Brehmer and Julie Terrace and many other loved ones.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kwiatkowski Funeral Home in Omro WI. Visitation is from 12 to 2 pm, Service is at 2 pm with graveside service at 3 pm in Waukau Cemetery on Monday September 20.
The family is truly grateful to the Aurora at Home Team and give a very special thanks to Brittany, Tammy and Michele for their loving support through this very difficult time. A special thank you also goes out to Pastor Mark Wenzel for your visits with Roger.
