Ronald T. Beck, age 72, of Omro, passed away unexpectedly January 21, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born February 7, 1943, in Oshkosh, the son of Thomas and Ruth (Lewellyn) Beck. Ron attended school in Omro and was a 1961 graduate of Omro High School. He married JoAnn Genal February 8, 1964 in Omro and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Ron had worked and retired from Speed Queen after 40 years of service. He loved being outside, hunting, fishing, and working on the family farm with his Dad. He was a former member of the Omro Rushford Volunteer Fire Dept.
Ron is loved and will be missed by his wife, JoAnn; son, Timothy (Donna) Beck; daughter, Jennie Beck; his two granddaughters who he loved very much, Rachel and Holly; sister, Rosanne (Paul) Werzinski; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Keith Beck.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016, at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Ron's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow at Rushford Cemetery. A memorial in Ron's name is being established.
The family would like to thank the Omro Rushford Volunteer Fire Dept. First Responders, Oshkosh Ambulance, the Staff at Mercy Hospital and the staff and guests at Tanner's Bar & Grill for all the kindness and consideration shown the family and Ron on Wednesday evening. The family would also like to acknowledge Fresenius Medical Care for helping Ron with all his years of Dialysis.
