Ronald D. "Hap" Fauk died at Park View Health Center on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the age of 64. He was born in Oshkosh to Lorraine Fauk on October 30, 1946. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy shortly after birth Ron did not let that affect him He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1964. He attended U.W. Oshkosh then moved with his family and attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
After college, Ron managed Richman Brother's Clothing Store in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac. After that he managed the Putzer's Big & Tall store in Wausau. He then returned to Oshkosh and managed several apartments including Gilead apartments. When he developed Addison's disease, and lost movement in his legs he moved to Park View Health Center to spend his final days. While at Park View, he enjoyed visiting with his children and all his many friends. He enjoyed playing cards and socializing with all! He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving Ron are his sons, Steven (Jackie) Fauk of Appleton, and Jeffrey Fauk of Madison; grandson, Colin Fauk; twin brother, Don (Marianne) Fauk of Oshkosh; sister, Linda (John) Dunzik of Braydenton, Florida; step-father, Orval "Buck" Sweeney; aunts, Lois Beske and Jane Fauk; good friends, Steve Scheuermann and Pete Hackstock; and many, many other friends.
Funeral services for Ron will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 North Sawyer Street. A time for visiting and sharing memories will be held on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
