At age 85, Henry Reid died on 26 October 2023, in Oshkosh. Reid was born on 28 January 1938, in East Chicago, Indiana.
He married Saralou Leavy 07 September 1963, in Bloomington, Indiana. Ronald and Saralou were married fifty-six years prior to her 2020 death. The couple had one son.
He earned a doctorate from Indiana University in 1968, then served thirty-one years as UW-Oshkosh faculty. Reid also served in the U.S. Army, both active and reserve.
