Rosanne Marie Heidenreich, age 76, of Oshkosh, was called by God to join Him in His eternal home on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Her parents, Frank and Mildred (Stekel) Heidenreich welcomed her as their first child on May 8, 1935, on the family farm in Vernon County, near Yuba, Wisconsin.
As a young child, Rosanne attended Jewel School and Hillsboro High School. She continued her schooling at St. Francis Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in LaCrosse, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, University of Wisconsin-Stout, and the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She was a Registered Radiologic Technologist, Radiography (RT) at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Radiology Department Supervisor/Manager at St./ Francis Hospital, LaCrosse, Associated Physicians Clinic in Madison, and Dean Clinic in Madison. For many years, Rosanne, was a Radiograph Instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire. During her career she belonged to the Wisconsin Society of Radiologic Technologists, American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Association of Educator of Radiologic Sciences, Wisconsin Association of Educator of Radiological Technology, Wisconsin Vocational Association, and the American Vocation Association. She held many offices and committee chairmanships during her years of employment.
After her retirement Rosanne did volunteer work at St. Raphael Catholic Church, including a charter membership of the Christ Child Society, Oshkosh Chapter; Care Team; Prayer Chain; Faire for All Seasons; as well as helping with church functions and mailings. She also served as a volunteer in various care areas of Mercy Medical Center.
Survivors include a sister, Agnes I. (Heidenreich) Wolf and brother-in-law, Jerry Wolf; nieces and nephews, Mary Beth (Wolf) and Dan Borst, Ann Marie Wolf and Patrick Noonan, and Robert and Lori Wolf; grandnieces, Danielle and Holly Borst, Megan, Allyson, and Emma Wolf. She is also survived by dear Stekel cousins and treasured friends. Preceding Rosanne in death are her parents, Mildred and Frank M. Heidenreich; her grandparents, Martin and Mary (Sebranek) Heidenreich, James and Mary (Briskey) Stekel; a great aunt, Lena Sebranek; aunts and uncles, Frank and Agnes (Heidenreich) Stekel, Ella (Stekel) and Albert Smith, Agnes (Stekel) and Carl Dojeva, Charles and Jenny Stekel, and John and Tena Stekel.
A special thank you to Dr. Radford and the staff at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Oshkosh for their care and concern for Rosanne these past six years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 2, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr., with Reverend Douglas LeCaptain and Reverend Daniel Felton concelebrating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will take place at the Czech National Cemetery in Yuba, Wisconsin.
