Rose A. Horton, age 87 of
Oshkosh, went to see her Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Rose was born on November 3, 1921 to Henry
and Anna (Diel) Lautenschlager. In 1946,
Rose married Russell E. Horton. Russell
died a short thirteen years later, on August 3,
1959.

A strong, self sufficient woman, to
Rose her family was everything. She
enjoyed spending time with her family, and knitting. She was a member of Zion Lutheran
Church. In recent years, spending time
with her great-grandson was her greatest joy.


Mourning the death of Rose are her children: James, Lauren, and Alan
(Carolyn) Horton; grandchildren: Mark (Bridgete), Katie, and Travis Horton;
great-grandson, Jacob Horton; brother, Jerome (Marilyn) Lautenschlager; and
special friend, Nancy Samida. In
addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her sister,
Lorraine Langlitz, and brother, Henry
Lautenschlager.

Funeral
services will be held for Rose at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at
Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N. Sawyer Street.
A time for sharing support and memories will be held at the church on
Wednesday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial
