Rose Schuhart Kemnitz died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at LaSata Nursing Home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, with her loving husband by her side. On October 9, 1943, Rose married Wallace Oren Kemnitz at First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
A longtime Christian and active member of First English Lutheran Church, Rose was well-known for her food preparation in the Oshkosh area for a number of years, as the head cook at Oshkosh High School, at several sorority houses, where she was known as "Mrs. K", and at various local restaurants. Rose will be greatly missed by her family, who were the focus of her life.
The beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Nanny), and great grandmother of Wallace Kemnitz, her husband; daughters, Patricia (Phil) Bartels of Appleton, and Pamela (John) Stockbridge of Kenosha; granddaughters, Jennifer (Geoffrey) Bogli and Katherine (Paul) Green; six great-grandchildren, Abigail Rose Bogli, Jackson Bogli, Paul Green, Emily Green, Madeline Green, and George Green; and a dear friend, Linda Manthe are left to mourn Rose's death. Preceding Rose in death is an infant daughter; her parents, John and Mary Schuhart; three brothers, George, John, and William Schuhart; and four sisters, Margaret Johnson, Lorraine Nolan, Betty Borski, and Adeline Kromm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend John Stockbridge officiating.
