Obituary

Rosemary Kresal, closer to 95 than 94, died peacefully Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Omro Care Center where she has resided for the past several years. Rose was born April 7, 1922 in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Dale O. and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Post Bartow. She married Paul Kresal at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh on August 31, 1940. Rose and Paul traveled extensively in their retirement and were fortunate to visit most of the United States. She was accomplished at crocheting and had made many crochet dolls. When her family was younger, many cherished memories were made camping in Rhinelander. As her family grew to include grandchildren, Rose cherished them and enjoyed participating in all of their activities. Rose loved her church and was an active and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro, often volunteering wherever needed. Every Tuesday for years, Rose would meet with her circle of church ladies and together they enjoyed going to breakfast. Sundays were not complete without first going to Church and then going to Main Street Restaurant for breakfast and fellowship.Rose is loved and will be missed by her children, Pauline (Gene) Youngblood of Apache Junction, AZ, Jean (Mac) McPeek of Fairfield, CA, Barbara O'Brien of Omro, Nancy (Rennie) Potratz of Omro and Ed Kresal of Eureka; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; sons, Paul & David; grandson, Lee Carpenter; brothers, Dale Bartow and Frank Bartow. In respect to Rose's memory, visitation will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and then on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Edward Looney and Sister Pam Biehl officiating. Rose will be laid to rest on the family plot at Omro Cemetery. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Lance Zernzack and staff, Omro Care Center and Staff, and Sr. Pam Biehl and St. Mary Catholic Church for all the care, concern and support shown to Rose and the rest of her family.
