Rowland L. "Rollie" Liddle, age 84, of Oshkosh, died Sunday afternoon November 11, 2007 at Park View Health Center-Pleasant Acres. He was born on January 1, 1923 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Joseph and Esther (Eshelman) Liddle. Rollie married Loretta Weymouth on March 2, 1951 in Oshkosh.


Rollie was a member of Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and card playing. Creating lawn ornaments was a favorite pastime of Rollie's. Rollie was a long-time customer sales representative for Plywood Oshkosh until his retirement.


Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Loretta Liddle of Oshkosh; a son, Randall (Susan) Liddle of Oshkosh; and a grandson, Jeffrey (Erica) Liddle of Oshkosh.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Barry Yarbro officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery following the service. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., also on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
