Ruben J. Yana, Marshfield, WI and former resident of Omro, passed away on September 10, 2022. He was born on February 24, 1930 in Manitowoc County to Joseph and Rose (Hronek) Yana. He lived in Two Rivers until he moved to Omro in 1946. He graduated from Omro High School in 1948.
He married Winifred Greenwood at Two Rivers in 1950. Winifred passed away on September 6, 1983. On August 29, 1986 he was united in marriage with Patricia (Mulder) Barnett in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Ruben was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers and F Butkiewicz and Sons in Omro until his retirement in 1995. He was a charter member of the Omro Bow Hunters Archery Club and frequently commented on how happy he was that they were going strong and helping young outdoorsman. Ruben golfed in the Omro Golf League with a group of his friends amid much camaraderie and laughter. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Omro and was an usher for 22 years. Ruben enjoyed fishing, wood working, carving, golfing, playing cards, feeding and watching the birds and spending time with his family and friends. Ruben was a kind and gentle man with a big heart and unending patience.
Ruben is survived by his wife Patricia; three daughters, Lynn Ruedger of Steger, Illinois, Amy (Gregg) Frank of Neenah, Laurie (Lee) Massee of ShowLow, Arizona; son, Tim Yana of Oshkosh; step-daughter Cheryl (Bob) Lenz-Greenwood; three grandchildren, Scott (Kali) Lenz-New Lisbon, Bryan (Alexandra) Lenz - University City, MO and Jamie Peterlik (Chuck) of Marshfield; great-granchildren, Holden Peterlik, Vander, Emery Lenz, Cole and Charlie. He is further survived by three nephews, Brian and Bruce Butkiewicz and Gary Eis; niece Judy Bliegiske; brother-in-law Wayne Zimmer; and one sister-in-law, Ginny Mulder. He was preceded in death by his first wife Winifred, his parents, two brothers , three sisters, two sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law.
