Obituary

Rudolph "Rudy" Kriha age 88, died Thursday morning July 24, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born June 30, 1915 in Oshkosh, WI the son of Rudolph and Mary Herzig Kriha. Rudy served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and then married Jane C. Kuklinski on September 6, 1947 in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on December 2, 1991. Rudy retired from Rockwell International after working there for 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Omro and the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post No. 70 of Oshkosh. All who knew him will fondly recall his love of spending time outdoors, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children: James (Bonnie) of Ripon, Joan (Larry) Walls of Sault Ste. Marie of Ontario Canada and Jack of Omro, grandchildren: Cindy & Russ Kriha, John, Jamie, Alan & Leslie-Ann Walls, Airk & Brent Kriha, great granddaughter: Kaylee Kriha, brothers: Lawrence and Henry, sisters: Mary Kloiber, Rose Boettcher, sister in law: Dorothy Kriha, nieces, nephews and many friends. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 grandson, Jeff.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at the Omro Funeral Home from 3-7 P.M. and then on Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Omro from 9 A.M. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. with Rev. Joseph Mattern officiating. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery with Military Honors being provided by his American Legion Post. A memorial in Rudy's name has been established.
