Russell Edward Gross, 70, of Oshkosh, was born on November 15, 1952. He passed from this world after a short battle with cancer, with family by his side on May 23, 2023.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Russ loved Stephen King books, music, woodworking projects, and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren do what they love. Russ worked many years as a parts man at Metzler, Pommerening Dodge, Dodge County and retired from Silver Star.

Russ is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Donna; step-children, Michael (Jenny) Niemczyk, Toni Niemczyk, Keith (Jenny) Niemczyk, Bobbi Jo Niemczyk (Keith Virgo); grandchildren, Micki (Alex), James, Ethan, Evie, Emma, Chloe, William; great-grandchildren, Milo, Quinten; aunt, Diane Bartelts and mother-in-law, Regina Berna.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores (Sieg) Gross and Robert Gross; uncle, Richard Sieg; aunt, Beverly; sister, Kathy Weyers Dimphl; father-in-law, Tony Berna; and his beloved cat Bootsie.

Services will be held at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon Street, Oshkosh, WI on Thursday June 1 with visitation from 3pm until 5:30pm with Pastor Colin Rieke officiating.
