Ruth A. Davies, age 91 of Pickett died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. Ruth was born February 13, 1918 in Omro to Lee and Alice (Roe) Fenrich. She graduated from Oshkosh High School and worked at Neuberger's for many years. Ruth married Weston Davies on July 2, 1941 in Oshkosh and they were married 56 years until his death in 1997. After her marriage, she lived on the farm in Ring as a mother and homemaker. Ruth was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Ring and served as the church secretary for several years and an elder. She was also a member of the Bethesda Women's Guild. Ruth was an excellent cook and seamstress and will always be remembered for her lemon pies.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, Susan Davies of Winneconne and Richard Davies of Racine; grandchildren, Arshales (Derek) Peterson of Waukesha and Daniel (Jessica) Davies of Wauwatosa; great-grandchildren: Adie and Weston Davies and Owen and Theo Peterson; great-god child, R.J. Olson; and nephews, John Fenrich of Owasso, Oklahoma and Gerald Fenrich of Seattle, Washington. She is further survived by Elaine Davies of Greenfield. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Lee Ann Zinth; brother, Donald Fenrich and sister-in-law Sarah Kolodzik.

Funeral service for Ruth will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street with Pastor Joanne Schabloski officiating. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethesda Cemetery in Ring.
