Ruth H. Haffner, age 89 of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, went to be with her Lord, on Friday, November 7, 2008. She was born in Oshkosh on November 12, 1918 to John and Katherine (Lautenschlager) Pfaffenroth. On August 24, 1940 she married Jacob R. Haffner. They were married 59 years until his death on September 11, 1999.

Ruth was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and a loving wife, who was born, raised, and retired in Oshkosh.

Ruth is survived by her children, Carol (Ronald) Meyer of St. Louis, Missouri, and Lawrence J. (Sandra) Haffner of Bellville, Illinois, and grandchildren: Kenneth L. Goth, Nathan H. Goth, and Michael J. Meyer. She is further survived by siblings: Lydia Luft, Eleanore Dahmer, Lawrence (Dorothy) Pfaffenroth, Dorothy Stuhlmacher, Catherine Irmer, Mary Ann (David) Glaze, Irene (Donald) Ruhl, and Samuel (Delpha) Pfaffenroth. In addition to her husband, Jacob, Ruth was preceded in death by siblings: David Pfaffenroth, John Pfaffenroth, Albert Pfaffenroth, Lorraine Pfaffenroth, and Margaret Daubert.

Funeral services will be held for Ruth in Oshkosh, Wisconsin at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia Street. A time for sharing support and memories will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
