Ruth A. Milner, age 89, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday evening, August 31, 2005 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 17, 1916 in the Township of Algoma to William and Bessie (Bartels) Butzlaff. Ruth married Ervin E. Milner on June 1, 1938 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1987.


Ruth was life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the MOC Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed crocheting rugs and doing other craft items.


Survivors include two daughters: Fritzi (Merlin) Koss and Donna (Norm) Bender both of Oshkosh; a son-in-law: James (Linda) Tucker of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren: Brenda (Wayne) Gray, Steven Tucker, Lori Koss, Lisa (Jeff) Russell, Todd (Kathy) Koss, Randy Bender, and Rusty (Amy) Bender; twelve great-grandchildren: Michelle (CJ) Klotz; Felicia, Vanessa, and Jamie Vienola; Mitchell and Austin Russell; Nathan and Cody Koss; Stacey Bradley; Elias, Abraham, and Elysia Bender; one great-great-grandchild: Sydney Gray-Pinno; two brothers: William (Betty) Butzlaff of Oshkosh; Robert (Barbara) Butzlaff of Omro; two sisters: Dolores (Russell) Swenson of Oshkosh; Juanita Becker of Oshkosh; a brother-in-law: Kenneth Mueller of Ripon; and a sister-in-law: Ora Butzlaff of Oshkosh.


Preceding Ruth in death are her husband; one daughter: Patricia Tucker; a great-granddaughter: Jennifer Gray; three brothers: Norman, Donald, and Richard Butzlaff; two sisters: Marion Wolff and Jeanette Mueller.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 12:00 Noon in Grace Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, with Reverend Daniel Krause officiating. Interment will follow the services at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. Her family is establishing a memorial in Ruth's memory.
