Ruth
V. Olson age 86 of Oshkosh, died at Parkview Health Center on Monday, November
16, 2009. She was born on August 18,
1923 to Arthur and Katherine (Grengs) Pieper.
On December 11, 1948 she married Everett C. Olson. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1977.


Ruth
was a member of First United Methodist Church.
For 16 years she worked for the Oshkosh Police Department as a crossing
guard. She was a member of the Elks and
Square Dance club, "Time-Toppers."
She enjoyed chocolates and was a pitcher on the Senior Softball league. She also spent her time playing golf and card
games, especially Cribbage. At the
Senior center she was known as a pool shark and a good artist.


Surviving
Ruth is her daughter, Darlene (Gerald) Gonyo of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandson,
Jeffery Gonyo of Glenview, Illinois; granddaughter, Jill Piedmont of Solsberry,
Indiana ; great-grandchildren: Tucker Piedmont, Abe Piedmont, Charolette
Piedmont, Nathan Gonyo, and Elena Gonyo; and nieces, Lois Sommers of Marathon
City, and Janet Stroik of Wausau. Ruth
was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; daughter, Gloria Dawn; sisters,
Dorothea Hanke and Alice Wysocki.


Funeral
services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at
Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time for visiting and sharing memories will
be held at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the
service. Interment will be in Lake View
