Ruth J. Steibel of New London died at home on June 21, 2015. She had a love for children and took care of children for her friends and family. She loved her family and always wanted them close by her. She was born in Oshkosh, July 4, 1924. The daughter of George Manthei and Harriet Manthei Smith. On February 23, 1943, she married Clarence G. Steibel. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, a wonderful step father, Arthur J. Smith, her husband Clarence of 45 years, her daughter, Debra A. Moore and her brother Everett Manthei who was killed in WWII.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver Beverly J. Steibel of New London and a great son-in-law, Leo Moore, Jr. Sun Lakes, AZ, a very special granddaughter JoAnne Ramirez, Mesa, AZ and a grandson, Leo Moore III, Reedsville, WI, three great grandchildren, Steve and Devan Ramirez and Drake Moore, a very special niece, Sherry L. Prinsen, New London, two special nephews, Everett and Dennis Manthei, other nieces and nephews, also Joe Lyness who always held a special place in her heart.
A Lutheran by faith all her life, Ruth will be buried at Lake View Memorial Park. A visitation for friends and family will be held at Seefeld Funeral Home on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
