Ruth E. Strohschein, 97, passed away in Oshkosh, WI, on October 8, 2021. She was born in Fremont, WI on January 20, 1924, to Walter and Helen (Schiesser) Arndt.

Ruth was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was a part of Grace Forever Young and Reading Buddies. She worked seasonally at Miles Kimball and at Sexton Can Company, and then worked at Morgan Industries. She loved to bake and cook for her family.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Herb) Scharfenberg of Van Dyne, and David (Sandra) Strohschein of Oshkosh; granddaughter, Teri Strohschein of Watertown, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends and family.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Ralph W. Strohschein; parents, Walter and Helen; sisters, Esther Hoyman, Vivian Arndt, and Leona Strohschein; brothers, Robert Arndt, Gerhardt Arndt, and Franklin Arndt; she is further preceded by a life-long friend, Ellen Reed.

A visitation will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska St., Oshkosh, WI, on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Ruth will be buried at Lakeview Memorial Park.
