Sally J. Freeman, age 58, of Omro, found peace after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday afternoon, October 1, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1956 in Medford, Wisconsin, the daughter of Dale and Joyce (Frickenstein) Schilling. Sally graduated from Omro High School in 1975 and several years later attended Fox Valley Technical College. She married Randy Freeman on August 25, 1978 in Oshkosh. They later renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary with their family present at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro. She had worked over 30 years at Printco in Omro. Family was important to Sally, her love of holidays and enjoying big meals with them showed that. Being a grandma to her four grandchildren was a responsibility she not only loved, but cherished, this was shown by supporting them in all of their activities. She also enjoyed gardening, putting puzzles together, fishing (catching fish) and spending time with her cats. Sally is loved and will be missed by her husband, Randy; children, Nicole (Toby) Freeman, Preston (Deanna) Freeman all of Omro; grandchildren, Brayden James, Dalton Lee, Piper Lynn, Preslie Jean; two brothers, Darrel (Teresa) Schilling, Dave (Fran) Schilling; sister, Marlene (Larry) Halverson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Judy and Mary. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then again on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating. A memorial in her name is being established.The family would like to thank Dr. Gremminger and staff and all the family and friends for their help, prayers, love and support.
