Obituary
Sandra Kay Loper, passed peacefully on her 70th birthday at home in Fox Lake, WI on January 14, 2024. She was born January 14, 1954 to Bernadine (Thompson) and Gordon Smith in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Sandra was a kindhearted, soft spoken, easy to lend a listening ear to person. She loved her husband, family and friends with a ferociousness. She attended Oshkosh High. Sandra worked at various places. She spent 14 years in Arizona with her husband and spent summers at Tomorrow Wood Campground. She loved to play Bingo, do crafts, especially her bird houses that were very glammed up. She loved having her nails done (diva) and she loved a lot of bling!
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Loper; daughter, Chrissy (Tony) Steinert; step-children, Debbie (Tom) Wofford, John (D ō ni) Stenzel, Nathan (Colleen) Loper, Heather (Justin) Englund; sisters, Pam (Jim) Patrie, Barb Watters, Patty (Peter) Hartzheim, Debbie (Chris) Crowner; brothers, Mark Smith, Scott (Theresa) Smith, Ken (Jo) Smith; grandchildren, Andrew Steinert, Melanie (Will) Steinert, Carly Steinert, Victoria Robinson, Elizabeth Stenzel, Samantha (Scott) Ubbelohde, Megan Loper, Jack Loper, Max Englund, Sam Englund, and A.J. Englund; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Preston and Henry; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernadine and Gordon Smith; brother, Bill Smith; godson and nephew, Billy Mathias; and nephew, Mathew Roidt.
In accordance with her wishes, Sandra has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date when the butterflies emerge!
The family extends a special thank you to the cancer centers in Fond du Lac and Waupun, Hospice Care, you are end-of-life God's special angels.
